CCJV missions policy notation CCJV is a tithing church. What that means is that every week we take the first 10% of the tithes received and submit it to the Lord. That means as you give unto the Lord, via CCJV, you are also participating in missions that we here at CCJV are supporting. As a CCJV tither you are both showing obedience unto the Lord and trusting Him for your provisions. By supporting this church you are deeply involved in several mission projects. God is good and He is taking note of your faithfulness. Thank you for supporting both prayerfully and financially. God bless you! Pastor Jim Davis, wife Shonda and the PTA staff are staying very busy in the Asian countries! PRAYER REQUEST FROM PASTOR JIM & SHONDA DAVIS 2006 ptadavis@aol.com INDIA: 1. Pray that the Word would go forth boldly and that many would come to know Jesus. Pray that God would protect His workers as millions of souls are in the balance 2. Pray that the Lord would bless and protect our PTA missionaries. Pray that their work would grow and that the Lord would provide dedicated workers for them to work with. 3. Pray that radical Hinduism would not grow and that Christian voices would have opportunity to speak. 4. A thanks to the Lord for fruitful Seminars (over 400 pastors & wives attended and completed the training). THAILAND: 1. Pray for the Karen refugees along the border, both sides for God’s protection from the Burmese military and land mines. Pray that the pastors would boldly teach the Word of God and live righteously. INDONESIA: 1. Pray for the pastors in the areas that are under persecution from the Moslems. Pray for their protection, and boldness. Pray also for the government to uphold the law that guarantees them freedom of religion but in reality the police stand and watch the churches burn down. 2. Pray for the protection of the Church from false teachings come from the States. 3. Pray that the Lord would touch the hearts of Americans that they would respond to the missionary calling, we NEED workers for Indonesia as many are getting saved and more will if we have the workers to share the gospel. PHILIPPINES: 1. Pray for more missionaries to come and help us. We need a Youth Director at our Youth Center. We need more medical workers, teacher of all ages including those that can teach pastors. 2. Pray for our Print Shop, we need more paper and ink to print our goal of 4 million tracks a year. 3. Pray God’s protection on our teams that go out and evangelize and disciple. 4. Pray for our many short-termers that are in the Philippines and will be coming all summer, for a touch from God that 10 % of them will come back and be full time missionaries. VIETNAM: Pray for our upcoming workshops with pastors in the Underground church that the Lord would protect those that we are working with and also keep Shonda and I safe. Pray for our underground printing ministries, God’s protection. Two Major Projects that need our prayers and financial support: We have a secret way to purchase Vietnamese Bibles for the believers. We don't know how long the door will be open. We can get complete Bibles of good quality with maps (in the country) for $3.00 each. The second project is providing water wells for the tribal believers. Many tribal people have become Christians and because of that they are being punished and forbidden to use the community wells. They were told, by the local communist authorities, that the wells are for communists only not for the Christians. Mocking them they told them that they needed to get their water from America. Each well will cost $275.00 (labor, cement and pump). Pray for God's blessing and provision. CAMBODIA: PTA Seminars are planned for this summer. Pray for those in attendance and their teachers! LAOS: This communist ruled country persecutes the church regularly. PTA Seminars are very difficult to host as they are operated in seceret. Pray God's continued presence as we move forward against the powers of darkness to bring the Light of Jesus Christ to this oppressed country. USA: Shonda and I want to thank the Lord for the growth of PTA. We now have American missionaries in 5 Asian countries. We have several new missionary canidates that are in progress. Yet, with all our growth, we still need more missionaries in all parts of Asia. Please continue to pray that more would hear the call and answer it. Our youngest is 19 (a pastor's son) and our oldest are 65 plus. All that is needed is a willing servants heart. Thank you for your faithful prayer and support. May the Lord bless your summer!
