U-Turn for Christ
We want to thank God for allowing us as a church to prayerfully support the U-Turn for Christ Ministries.
U-Turn ministers Jesus to those who are entangled in drugs and alcohol. Join with us in praying for the U-Turn Ministries and may God be glorified as He desires to set people free!
PTA - Pastoral Training of Asia
Pastor Jim Davis, wife Shonda and the PTA staff are staying very busy in the Asian countries!
Philippines: Every month the PTA staff travels around the country to host seminars. These seminars bring much needed instruction in the Word, personal encouragement, and when evangelism is taught many come to Jesus.
Korea: Prayer request: Please pray that God would put it upon the hearts of His people to give to the missions. Right now the exchange rates is far in the favor of the missionaries. If someone were to give $100.00 US to the overseas missions work, it becomes $150.00 after the exchange. God is multiplying giving to missions even during these tough times in the United States. Won't you consider gifting today?
Papua New Guinea: For two years PTA has had an open invitation to come and teach the pastors and leaders. There is a great need in Papua. Join us in prayer as we seek the Lord and ask Him to provide direction, wisdom, and finances according to His will!
THAILAND: Pray for the Karen refugees along the border, on both sides, for God's protection from the Burmese military and land mines. Pray that the pastors would boldly teach the Word of God and live righteously.
INDONESIA: 1. Pray for the pastors in the areas that are under persecution from the Moslems. Pray for their protection, and boldness. Pray also for the government to uphold the law that guarantees them freedom of religion, but in reality the police stand and watch the churches burn down. 2. Pray for the protection of the Church from false teachings that come from the States. 3. Pray that the Lord would touch the hearts of Americans that they would respond to the missionary calling, we NEED workers for Indonesia as many are getting saved and more will if we have the workers to share the gospel.
VIETNAM: All Christian books have been illegal to print since 1975. Times are changing for the better, and the government is allowing some to be printed. PTA has permission to print their workbooks. Included are, Inductive Method of Bible Study, Christian Marriage & Family Life, and Evangelism & Follow up. The response from the Vietnamese believers is overwhelming joy! Please join in prayer that God would provide funding for the book printing. The price for 1,200 copies is $1000.00. The price includes all government permits and the printing costs.
CAMBODIA: PTA Seminars are planned for this summer. Pray for those in attendance and their teachers!
LAOS: This communist ruled country persecutes the church regularly. PTA Seminars are very difficult to host as they are operated in secret. Pray God's continued presence as we move forward against the powers of darkness to bring the Light of Jesus Christ to this oppressed country.
Pray for more missionaries to come and help us. We need a Youth Director at our Youth Center. We need more medical workers, teachers of all ages including those that can teach pastors.
Pray for our Print Shop, we need more paper and ink to print our goal of 4 million tracks a year.
Pray God's protection on our teams that go out to evangelize and disciple.
Pray for our many short-termers that are in the Philippines and will be coming all summer, for a touch from God that 10 % of them will come back and be full time missionaries.
