Who Am I? 2 Corinthians 13:5
Ever ask yourself who you are, and really can’t come up with a solid answer? Not to worry, God has it covered. Not only does God tell us who were are, but He also states what our purpose is in life. There is no better time than now, the beginning of a new year, to examine ourselves. In 2Corinthians 13:5 God commands us to do just that, examine our self. Yet, the question still remains... Who Am I?
I Am A Disciple A disciple is a learner, pupil, follower [Luke 6:40] Disciples are made by teaching and baptism [Matt 28:18-20]. Forsaking all that we have for Jesus [Luke 14:26-27]. Disciples are Christians. [Acts 11:26]
I Am A Christian Christian comes from Christ. Christ means “Anointed One” Jesus is The Christ [John 20:31] Christians are ‘little christ's who seek to be like Jesus [1Corinthians 11:1] and to be like minded [Phil 2:5] A Christian is one who seeks to glorify God through Christ Jesus regardless of the consequences. [1Peter 4:14, 4:16, Acts 5:41]
I Am A Child Of God To be a child of God means to KNOW the love of the Father [1John 3:1] To have the His Son in our lives [Gal 4:6-7] To be the people of God. [Rom 9:25-26] Through a living active faith [John 1:12, Gal 3:26-27]
