Thoughts Colossians 3:16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.Here we see a relationship we have with the Word of God and our offering of worship.Psalms-are songs or poems read or sung from the O.T. Hymns -are songs written by believers. Spiritual songs- are expressions of biblical truths.When we sing a hymn we address the Lord,when we sing a spiritual song we address each other. Singing from grace in our hearts is being able to sing knowing you have Gods favor even when your in pain or going through a trial.Paul and Silas in the Philippian prison Acts 16:22-25. As we grow in Gods Word our expression of praise grows.There is a new song we will be learning that has the most beautiful truth for us to lay hold of and something we can pass on to others the verse says[I know I,m filled to be emptied again the seed Ive received I will sow]Be looking and listening for it in our worship service it will bless you as it has blessed me.
